While the overall shopping experience depends on your precision and attention to detail, it can work excellently for your needs — you just need to set up realistic expectations to achieve your goals. Although Vaistoa Rento hasn’t managed to enter my top three favorite barefoot sneakers, it has been a decent competitor for several reasons.

Another thing is for sure — you should be careful with your measurements to pick up the right fit. This model tends to run small.

They can deliver a true barefoot feel with a 4.3-mm flexible sole.	Issues with the pair’s sizing are rather common, unfortunately. Vaistoa Rento runs small, so a size up is recommended.
The model’s toe box is quite spacious (although it doesn’t look like it). While allowing for elevated balance and a natural toe splay, there is no compromise on the design’s sleek nature.	Given that fit-related issues are so frequent, it also negatively influences how easily your foot can slide inside the sneaker.
Although the tread pattern is nothing special, it works well on the streets in my neighborhood, gravel, and cobblestones.	Its grip is decent, but it falls behind some other sneakers in the market. They aren’t advertised as slip-resistant, and I can see why — their traction isn’t strong on slick or wet surfaces.

These sneakers dry reasonably fast. In my hands-on experience, they can also handle puddles and light rain. Since the chosen fabrics are breathable, they are nice for the summer season. Personally, I like wearing them sockless, but adding a pair of socks can contribute to their multi-seasonal performance.
